Hey, I do enjoy the food in Penang ok. But what I can't stand is how the Penangites consider their food as the best in the world! Hey, KL got some good food too...
But when I come to think of it, Singapore's worst. Over there they take over other country's food and label it as theirs! Aiyo...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I just found this story on somebody's blog while googling.
I absolutely agree to him.
When I just got here(mean Singapore) I was so happy to all the great food.
and I still am. But I wondered that how come all the food come from other countries not their own.
They put "Singaporean style Malay food" or "Singaporean Chinese food" something.
So what is their real food then? I don't know yet.
Well, it seems not important to me though.
I'm happy with Singaporean style food so what's the matter?
I guess I have to visit Penang to taste " the world best food" hmmm. sounds yummy..
According to AFP report, Japan Liberal Democratic Party(LDP) lawmaker said "According to our survey, there was some coercions by some private parties but not by the government".
Does it mean that "our grandmum" did it( I mean comfort women) as a volunteer something?
What kind of private parties can make people serve as a sex slave?
I can't understand at all, why you jerk Japanese keep saying that you're not forced them do it.
There are so many evidences and witnesses. You are the best liar in the world ever.
Even in Singapore I met a taxi driver who told me that his mum was hiding not to be raped by the army of Japan. He was very upset when he talked about his mum's fear.
In the book 'Singapore Story' which is written by Lee Kwan Yew Prime Minister Mentor, he recalled that they closed all doors and windows not to be showed to Japanese soldiers.
What they were most scared was being raped. He also said he saw the long long Japanese soldiers que for being comforted. He couldn't see the girls. But he was sure that comfort women were from Korea and China.
You were just so mean and cruel. Yes, it's history, I don't think I do hate japanese just because your grandfathers treated my grandmothers as sex slaves.
So why don't you just say that I'm sorry our governmnet did wrong thing but it's past and we promise we'll do help people who suffered as comfort women.
Isn't it easy? Is that so hard to you?
(1) Single Interface for Users
As is
Logistics provider subscribe to CCN(Cargo Community Network) to submit an air cargo manifest declaration to the ground handling agent
have to access PORTNET to submit a sea manifest to the shipping line
login to TradeNet to declare an import/export permit to the government agency
Concept of UtradeHub
UTradeHub means 'Ubiquitos Trade Hub' which is a new single window for overall trade affairs in Korea.
It links existing networks with each trade procedure including marketing, commerce, foreign exchange, logistics,
customs clearance, settlement and global network.
So all business enterprises will be able to process trade-related operations with the most economic and
effective means via the Internet, anytime and anywhere. The trading procedure is shortened by sharing
information among relevant institutions and distributing e-documents; moreover, it is possible to supply various
additional services not available before. So you need to information just one time, you're not going to loose
your time and money any more.
=> What I'm wondering is what are the various addtional services not available before? Do they mentioned in
website(www.utradehub.com) or do they will add new services later on? Or I might not find information yet.
so let's dig into it.
Economic effect on UtradeHub
By using the e-document storage, 710.7million U.S. dollars can be saved annually in expenses for repeated
submission of documents.
The effect of saving IT investment costs and strengthening productivity for trading companies from structuring
a single window for services is a total amount of 282.8 million U.S. dollars
uTrade Hub brings about exports increasing as 825.4 million US dollars due to the reduction as 0.25% of export
price.
The quantitatively expected effect of structuring the uTrade Hub will be 1 .8189 billion US dollars in 2008
and 1.6566 billion US dollars from 2009.
=> How many trading comapanies are you estimating? What is the "reduction as 0.25% of export price"? 1 billion
US dollars are trillion won do you really mean you can save 1 trillion won in a year?
Services
They serve e-L/C service and e-Trade document repository, my BPM and my Trade. TradeXchange also has e-L/C and
e-Trade document repository. TradeXchange offers a Title Registry for electronic exchange of bills of lading.
E-title will be providing the core mechanism (engine) to support the Title Registry according to director of
E-title. my BPM means customized Business Process Management. Tools and services to support the
process-centered mutual reaction in person-to-person, person-to-system, and system-to-system as well as
specified process management (i.e., definition, execution, monitoring, analysis and others). my Trade is like a
personalized work place in cyberworld.
=>Those services were served from each different sites. UTradeHub means the single window for all this services.
But is it that great? Does it have real efffect? I'm not sure, not satisfied this little money savings.
Yes, it's alot. but still don't know. it's not gonna happen in worst case. I should look up the site carefully.

(SINGAPORE) Korean contractors in Singapore are starting their crane engines again.
![]() |
This year could be the biggest year for Korean contractors such as Samsung Corporation, Ssangyong Engineering & Construction Co and Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co after nearly a decade of construction slowdown in Singapore.
They are hoping to capture a bigger slice of the boom in the Singapore construction sector, which is expected to see record contracts totalling nearly $19 billion.
The three major Korean contractors have so far bagged $1 billion worth of contracts in the last nine months.
'We are making a comeback through the Sentosa Cove project,' Korea Ssangyong Engineering & Construction senior vice-president Ahn Kook Jin told BT. The company is handling a $130-million contract to build the 264-unit condominium on Sentosa Island.
|
Another major Korean contractor, Samsung, is involved in big projects such as the Island Power Plant ($450 million) in Jurong Island and Wacker Siltronics Semiconductor Wafer Plant ($225 million) in Tampines.
Hyundai is also enjoying a boom. It just clinched the $154-million contract for One Shenton for City Developments.
Korean contractors, which are well known for their efficiency and quality work, have always played a big role in Singapore's construction scene.
Their best year was 1997 when they collectively secured orders exceeding $2 billion, according to information collated by the International Contractors Association of Korea.
During the heydays of the 1990s construction boom, Korean contractors were involved in big projects like Raffles Hotel, Raffles City, Suntec City and Capital Tower.
But the building slump since then affected Korean contractors badly.
Over the last five years, they managed to clinch contracts valued at less than $300 million annually.
'Due to the construction slump in Singapore, we concentrated on Middle East instead of South-east Asia. Also, we need to do internal risk management that's why we had a poor record in Singapore,' said Thomas Cho, general manager of Samsung.
But the Koreans are now eyeing big spin-offs from the construction of the two mega integrated resorts and casinos at Marina Bay and Sentosa. The two projects, which are scheduled to be completed by the turn of the decade, are worth a total of more than $10 billion.
Marina Bay IR is being developed by Las Vegas Sands. The other IR project on Sentosa is being developed by Malaysia's Genting group.
'The number of order offers received is increasing but to focus on the IR we declined other offers,' said Kim Seung Shik, deputy general manager of Ssangyong.
'We hope to join Marina Bay IR project and the Overseas Union House project.'
I don't feel sleepy at all, don't know why.
So I just gave up to try sleeping, then I write a recipe for whom might need it.
Well, my English is not so great you can have a trouble to understand though. I'll try my best.
1. You need chinese noodle which is made from potato, I hope you know what it is.
Then put the noodle in the water of bowl.
2. Chicken drum without skin and bones , put some salt and black pepper and little of wine (usually we put some alchol which is made for cooking but wine is ok)
3. Now you're making sauce. we need dried red pepper, few slices of ginger, a cup of soya sauce, sugar, sesame oil(I think you can use olive oil), starch syrup(also possible with sugar, I will use sugar in this recipe),
4. fry with red pepper (not deep fry, just pan fry. use olive oil) first and put some ginger and put chicken and put soya sauce. It have to be half baked till step 4.
5. now you put water to pan (in there fried chicken and pepper) and more soya sauce and sugar , potato, onion. boil it together.
6. you can put more sugar and soya sauce if you want and make sure it is fully boiled.
7. Then put the chinese noodle which is still in water.
8. you can also put some spinach on it but I think it's not necessary. Boil little bit more. just 5 min.
9. well done. ok, Let's eat.
I watched the movie 'seducing mr perfect' this afternoon.
Hmmm Daniel was great but Um jung hwa wasn't her best. If I were in Seoul I wouldn't watch it even tough Daniel is so handsome in movie.
And guess what? I found a shortcoming of 'Perfect Daniel'.
I always think that his voice is something like a child when he speaks in Korean. I thought just because he is not fluent in Korean, but today in the movie his voice wasn't that great even in English. Well, usually Korean actors have a great voice so it is sorry for him.
By the way when he was walking down the street with um jung hwa in the movie, girls in the cinema were screaming because he was so hot.
It is funny movie but not that two thumbs up thing, so just for Daniel lovers I would recommend to watch it. Then why did I watch it? You know, I just missed my mother tongue language.
I think they are quite similar in every ways. Both of them promote paperless trade through the portal site and also make enterprises save money. Also governed by Goverment.
UtradeHub just opened their website this January 22th and TradeXchange will be lively coming September.
I think comparing two sites is very meaningful to both countries which are quite interested in single window rather than other countries.
Recently I'm collecting information about these sites if you have any please let me know.
Paper about them are not many, so hard to get it.
